Monica Rosas, Gardena: "I came to the 2012 Pharaohs Festival by accident! I was taking my two children from Gardena to spend some Labor Saturday on the beach in the beautiful, sunny weather of Santa Monica city. After I parked my car in public structure # 3, I walked with my children, crossing the Santa Monica Promenade to arrive to the beach. I was surprised by the Festival on the Promenade: delicious and juicy BBQ, fresh fruit juice, bazaar items I could not find anywhere else, jewelry that was difficult to resist and live music that made my children dance to its beat. The atmosphere was all joyous and uplifting. My children were so happy that we forgot about going to the beach and spent the whole day there. My children keep asking me "when are we going back to see King Tut again?""
