ABOUT PHARAOHS
The history of Ancient Egypt spans the period from the early predynastic settlements of the northern Nile Valley to the Roman conquest in 30 BC. The Pharaonic Period is dated from around 3200 BC, when Lower and Upper Egypt became a unified state, until the country fell under Greek rule in 332 BC. Egypt's history is split into several different periods according to the ruling dynasty of each pharaoh.

Pharaohs festival is a cultural and communal event held in Santa Monica, California once a year to showcase to the local community the background, culture and history of Ancient Egypt in a fun and entertaining environment. The event is currently held once a year in Santa Monica Promenade, California where all proceeds are spend to support local not-for-profit activities. The event is organized by the Pharaohs festival, Inc., a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization with its headquarters in Santa Monica. The event includes food booths, cultural educational booths, music, dance, bazaar, jewelry, books and short virtual tours of Ancient Egypt
