                  Inc. Is a non-profit organization 501 (C). The Incorporation was established in January 2011.

 

 

OUR GROWTH   
The festival has been gaining popularity over the last 5 years in both, the size of the volunteers and the festival proceeds. We have grown from 40 volunteers and less than $4 thousands of net proceeds in 2011 to over 262 volunteers and over $125 thousands in net proceed in the 2014 festival.  

 

The growth is primarily due to the positive reaction we received from the local community and businesses and the popularity of the event, not only among Egyptians, but also among locals from Santa Monica and many other cities throughout California. Hearing about the event is through word of mouth, social media, advertisement, flyers, banners and TV Interviews.  We expect steady growth as we reach out to a wider base of backgrounds and ethnicities of locals and visitors to Santa Monica. 

 

 

 

 

FESTIVAL MISSION AND GOAL
Promote diversity in the community by educating the public about the Ancient Egyptian   culture, history, language, musi and dance in a festive and entertaining environmen

Encourage team work and collaborations among youth and young adults in the community by allowing volunteers from all backgrounds and ethnicities to participate in planning and operating the event, thus changing the self-centered mentality into a community-centered one.

Enhance humanitarian and  philanthropic work for the ultimate benefit of the communit
Support the St. Peter and St. Paul Community Service Center through the proceeds of the Pharaohs festival event    

 

 

 

USE OF PROCEEDS

All administrative and operational activities are provided by volunteers, thus 100% of event proceeds support the activities of the Community Service Center of St. Peter and St. Paul .The community center provides wide range of services to the community including but not limited to 1) free tutoring  for the underprivileged students, 2) sports activities for youth and young adults, 3) monetary and in kind donations to needy families, 4) lectures to the youth on the drug epidemic and STD’s  5) monthly kitchen / food distribution to less fortunate people displaced and destitute in Santa Monica, 6) Provide meeting space to local charitable events and youth gatherings and many other activities aimed primarily to support youth and young adults.
